Santana Has A Dream…

Carlos Santana thinks humanity would be better served with the legalization of marijuana and envisions a time when people of all races and creeds can gather in parent’s basements across America to watch Up In Smoke with no fear of criminal prosecution.

“Legalize marijuana and take all that money and invest it in teachers and in education,” Santana said in an interview with a talking dog. “You will see a transformation in America.”

According to Santana, the continued criminalization of marijuana use parallels the Federal Government’s misguided attempt to outlaw alcohol during the 1920’s.

“[It’s] really way overdue, like the prohibition with the alcohol and stuff like that,” he said eloquently.

The legendary guitarist then used the platform to launch a thinly veiled attack against California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger.

“I really believe that as soon as we legalize and decriminalize marijuana we can actually afford a really good governor who won’t keep taking money away from education and from teachers and send him back to Hollywood where he can do ‘D’ movies and we can get an ‘A’ governor,” Santana said.

When asked about retirement, Santana admitted to having a direct phone line to God, which he uses regularly to stay in contact with his BFF.

“God was cracking up. He thought it was a good joke,” he said, with eyes presumably half glazed over. “So I said, ‘Okay.’ Every time I want to make him laugh I tell him my plans. So we’ll see.”

Santana then stared at the back of his hand for an hour and asked if, “Anyone else was hungry.”

Okay, so I made that last part up.taken from rock.com

UPDATE WHITE LIES

White Lies is made up of (from right) singer Harry McVeigh, drummer Jack Brown, and guitarist/principle songwriter Charles Cave.Jack Brown is surrounded by an overcast sky, a grey haze seems to follow him wherever he goes, but like every other Londoner before him, it is something he’s come to embrace.

“We have a really great musical heritage here, it is remote and the weather is kind of shit,” Brown said. “It is kind of a dark place and that definitely helps breed creativity.”

Brown is one third of Britain’s newest It band, White Lies, whose sprawling post-punk reverb and brooding cynicism have earned them comparisons to everyone from the Killers to Echo and the Bunnymen, yet it is their uncanny likeness to one band in particular that is the most baffling to him.

“There is a little romance to Joy Division and we can appreciate that,” he said with some trepidation. “We really didn’t know much about the bands from the 80’s until we were compared to them.”

He and his bandmates seemingly exist within a vacuum, a place where time and space intersect, at least that’s the only explanation I have for lead singer Harry McVeigh’s (no relation with Timothy) Ian Curtis-esque baritone that carries with it a lifetime’s worth of loss and regret.

“It really isn’t an issue for us,” Brown said. “It’s only when you are compared to a terrible band that you have to worry.”

Brown himself bears a striking resemblance to another deceased rock legend (The Who’s Keith Moon) and eerily keeps time with the same pulverizing precision, yet at the tender age of 21, the White Lies drummer seems to have a firmer grip on reality than his shag haired predecessor ever did.

“You shouldn’t build your hopes up in the music industry,” he said with startling clarity. “It’s a very fickle place…New bands have to be so careful, because it is so easy to be disposed of.”

It’s this same unwavering pragmatism that seems to guide Brown personally and helps drive the band’s creative identity, as they hover just beneath the precipice of fleeting international acclaim.

“The best way is to not go searching for it, but to have it come find you,” he said. “It’s quite a scary thing to think about, you can get distracted if you look too far ahead.”

Led by standout track “Death”, first album To Lose My Life…, which debuted at number one on the UK charts, challenges a myriad of philosophical quandaries, namely the notion that seldom are things set in stone.

“It is more about being terrified with all the uncertainty in the world,” Brown said. “There are very few things that are fact, so it is trying to come to terms with the idea that you’ll never know.”

A self-described control freak, Brown has only recently taken the reigns of his burgeoning career, by not only creating a support system around him, but even going as far as suggesting a change in direction from their previous pop tinged moniker, Fear of Flying.

“We weren’t really the same people, we had grown up; the songs really weren’t relevant to us anymore,” he said. “We just needed a new vehicle so people could listen without preconceived ideas.”

The cheery British trio will next set their sights on conquering America with an appearance at this year’s Coachella Music Festival, an opportunity they don’t take lightly.

“People forget how much work it takes to break into America, because it is so vast,” Brown said. “The challenge for us is to see how we can keep their attention; they have no obligation to enjoy us at all.”

Brown and company have even considered the modern day parable of the Arctic Monkeys, who gloriously fizzled out in the States, despite overwhelming praise from critics.

“A lot of theirs songs are obviously about a certain place or a certain time, and that place is always in England, which doesn’t translate well,” he said. “[Our] lyrics are fairly universal and broad, a lot more people can relate to it that way.”

RAPIDSHARE HACKS, Downloads, Tools and Searches

Rapidshare hacks, downloaders for rapidshare, no timelimit, unlimited downloads, free premium accounts. Those are some of the keywords that users are looking for. I thought it would be nice to write a definite guide about rapidshare. Which rapidshare hacks, tools and tricks are working, which are not. Rapidshare imposes a download and timelimit on non premium users of their service. Downloading from Rapidshare is only possible with one connection at a time and rapidshare limits the size of the files that you download to 30 megabytes every hour.
Rapidshare Hacks:

Speaking of Rapidshare Hacks: There is one little rapidshare hack available which sets the timelimit you have to wait to 0. Clear your address bar and add the following line to it “javascript:alert(c=0)”. This sets the rapidshare timelimit to 0 but does not change the download limit. The only way to reset the rapidshare download limit is to make rapidshare.de believe you are a new user. This can be done by either reconnecting to your ISP or by using proxys.
Reconnecting to your ISP is only working if they give out dynamic (changing) IPs to their users, if you have a static IP you will have to use proxies. You can check your ip here. Rapidshare sets a cookie which you will have to delete as well. (In Firefox go to Tools, Options. Select Privacy, Cookies, View Cookies and delete all rapidshare cookies.)

You can try the following commands instead of reconnecting. Open the windows command line (Start, Run, enter cmd, hit enter). Type the following commands, hit enter after each line:
Windows Mac Linux
ipconfig /flushdns let me know restart nscd daemon
ipconfig /release let me know sudo ifconfig en0 down
ipconfig /renew let me know sudo ifconfig en0 down;sudo ifconfig en0 up

If your IP remains the same you probably have a static IP that does not change at all. Your only option to avoid the rapidshare download limit is to use proxies and still clear the cookies in the browser that you are using. Do a search on google for “proxy lists” and you will find heaps of websites that offer proxies. Not all of them are working and you will have to verify that the proxy is a) fast enough and b) does not spill your real IP.

To do that you can simply add the proxy to your connections menu and try it out. Lookup your ip and see if the page loads fast. If you recieve errors or you see your real IP you have to find another proxy.

Rapidshare Tools:

Tools provide some additional features like managing the downloads, changing proxies, simultanious downloads by using more than one proxy and much more. Let us take a look at some of the rapidshare tools:

Rapidshare Link Grab Helper, the password for the rar file is “webxposed.de”. A pretty basic rapidshare tool. Add a rapidshare link, add a proxy, click grab, enter the image verification code, sent the rapidhare direct link to flashget.

Rapget, supports not only rapidshare.de but many other file hosting services like megaupload.com for example. The program has more options, it allows you to select a proxy list that it uses automatically while downloading from rapidshare or the other services. It offers simultanious rapidshare downloads, you can set timeouts, schedule downloads and paste links from files or the clipboard.

Grabber, looks similar to the rapidshare link grab helper with some additional options such as proxy and link checking.

Rapidleecher, offers basic functionality. Copy links, use proxies, enter image verification, get real download link and download the file.

Rapidshare Searches:

You need links to download files from rapidshare. One common method is to use google to search rapidshare.de by using googles site search command.

site:rapidshare.de RAR

This would search rapidshare.de for every link / page that includes the word rar.

You can also search google for sites that index rapidshare downloads, I won´t get into detail about those sites because they mostly link to illegal downloads. Try the search string “rapidshare links” for example.

Rapidshare Free Premium Accounts:

Rapidshare sometimes promotes free premium accounts. Head over to this rapidshare link to check if they currently offer free premium accounts.

Check out this Rapidshare hack for additional information.

Obama extends short federal lifeline to GM, Chrysler

President Obama announced Monday that struggling automotive giants General Motors and Chrysler will be given a "limited" period of time to "restructure in a way that would justify an investment of additional taxpayer dollars."
President Obama announced his plans for troubled U.S. automakers on Monday.

President Obama announced his plans for troubled U.S. automakers on Monday.
The federal government will give GM "adequate working capital" over the next 60 days to work in conjunction with the administration in developing a better recovery plan, he said.

Chrysler will be given adequate capital to continue operations for 30 days while completing a merger with automaker Fiat.

The president said that if Chrysler can come up with a "sound agreement that protects American taxpayers, we will consider lending up to $6 billion to help their plan succeed."

Obama also indicated that both GM and Chrysler might need to file for bankruptcy in the process of successfully restructuring, which will involve working with creditors, unions and other stakeholders.

"While Chrysler and GM are very different companies with very different paths forward, both need a fresh start to implement the restructuring plans they develop. That may mean using our bankruptcy code as a mechanism to help them restructure quickly and emerge stronger," Obama said in remarks delivered at the White House.

To help bolster consumer confidence during the companies' potential bankruptcies, the president promised that the federal government will immediately begin backing their warrantees.

The administration gave GM and Chrysler failing grades Monday for their turnaround efforts so far. The restructuring plans submitted by the two automakers do not go far enough to warrant the substantial new federal support, Obama said.

But, he added, "We cannot, we must not, and we will not let our auto industry simply vanish.

"This industry is, like no other, an emblem of the American spirit; a once and future symbol of America's success."

The president also warned, however, that the automakers cannot depend on federal assistance indefinitely.

"We cannot make the survival of our auto industry dependent on an unending flow of tax dollars. These companies - and this industry - must ultimately stand on their own, not as wards of the state."

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid said in a statement Monday that he shares Obama's "commitment to these objectives, and commend his Administration for showing a firm resolve in its negotiations with GM and Chrysler."

"We will not give these companies a blank check. As we have maintained since the earliest days of this crisis, if these companies do not develop strong plans to remain viable in the long term, they will lose our support," he said.

Some of Michigan's congressional delegation weighed in after the announcement, laying out the stark reality the automakers that call their state home are now facing.

"The road ahead is going to be very difficult and painful, although, as the president said, there is potential for both companies to emerge from restructuring as stronger, more competitive companies," said Rep. John Dingell, D-Michigan. "I stand ready to roll up my sleeves and get to work."

Rep. Sander Levin, D-Michigan, said he is confident the companies will meet Obama's demands.

"We can do no less because the domestic automotive sector is the heart of the U.S. industrial base, and as the President said, 'it is a pillar of our economy,'" he said in a press release Monday.

But not all politicians see the plan as fair.

Rep. Brad Sherman, D-California, said Monday that it's not time to "hollow out our manufacturing sector" while providing taxpayer dollars to AIG, which faced public backlash over multimillion-dollar bonuses.

"All of the creditors of General Motors are losing substantial amounts -- even people who worked their whole lives expecting retirement benefits and health benefits when they retire," Sherman said. "What about the rich and powerful that AIG was owed money to? They are getting paid every penny. They demand it, and it comes from the American taxpayer."

GM's restructuring began early Monday when CEO Rick Wagoner announced his resignation, which he said came at the request of the Obama administration.

"On Friday I was in Washington for a meeting with Administration officials. In the course of that meeting, they requested that I 'step aside' as CEO of GM, and so I have," Wagoner said in a statement posted to the GM Web site.

He is being replaced by Fritz Henderson, GM's president and CEO. Kent Kresa will serve as interim chairman.

"Having worked closely with Fritz for many years, I know that he is the ideal person to lead the company through the completion of our restructuring efforts. His knowledge of the global industry and the company are exceptional, and he has the intellect, energy, and support among GM'ers worldwide to succeed," Wagoner said. taken from CNN.com

Lights go out across planet for Earth Hour

Lights went off across the world Saturday as millions of homes and businesses went dark for one hour in a symbolic gesture highlighting concerns over climate change.
The lights go off Saturday at the Houses of Parliament and the Big Ben clock tower in central London.

The lights go off Saturday at the Houses of Parliament and the Big Ben clock tower in central London.

Organizers expected more than 2,800 cities and towns worldwide to dim their lights at 8:30 p.m. local time for the third annual Earth Hour -- a day-long energy-saving marathon spanning 83 countries and 24 time zones.

Major cities in the United States, Asia, the Middle East and Europe had already gone dark for the event by Saturday night on the U.S. East Coast.

In Washington, the lights went out at the Capitol dome at 8:30 p.m.ET; the same time the Empire State Building, Central Park and the George Washington Bridge in New York went dark.

The Philippines topped this year's participation for Asia, with more than 650 communities taking part in the event, according to Earth Hour's Web site.

The light illuminating the face of the landmark Big Ben clock tower in London, England, went out at 8:30 p.m. (4:30 p.m. ET).

In Dubai, iReporter Sharad Agarwal turned out the lights and sat down to a candlelit dinner with his family.

"I personally believe in going green and everything that goes with it," Agarwal told CNN.

In Australia, floodlights of the Sydney Opera House were extinguished as the city's iconic harbor kicked off events for Earth Hour. The event's Web site reported that hundreds of people lined the harbor for a glimpse of the dimming skyline at 8:30 pm.

Sydney became the birthplace of the Earth Hour campaign in 2007 when 2.2 million turned off their lights, igniting a grass-roots movement that has become a global phenomenon.

In China, illuminations at major buildings including the "Bird's Nest" Olympic Stadium and the Water Cube were extinguished as 20 cities joined in, according to the official Xinhua news agency.

Other landmarks around the world expected to join the World Wildlife Fund-sponsored event were the Egyptian pyramids, Vatican, Niagara Falls, the Eiffel Tower, the Empire State Building, the Acropolis in Athens and the Las Vegas casino strip.

CNN iReporter Marie Sager of Los Angeles, California, said she planned to hike up to the Griffith Observatory to experience the massive lights-out event.

"A good portion of the city is participating. We'll see the Capital Records sign go out. A lot of these places haven't turned out their lights in awhile," Sager said.

Event sponsors hoped participating U.S. cities would set an example for the rest of the world. Video Watch actor Edward Norton and Carter Roberts of the World Wildlife Fund discuss event »

"We think we are going to have 100 million people around the world sending a message that climate change is real, and we need to take action now," World Wildlife Fund CEO Carter Roberts told CNN.

"The world is watching to see what America is going to do," he said, "because if America acts on climate change, the world will follow."

Earth Hour events got off to an unofficial start in the remote Chatham Islands in the southern Pacific Ocean where locals switched off their diesel generators, organizers said. Shortly afterward, 44 New Zealand cities and town joined in the event. taken from cnn news

ISRAEL

A country of southwest Asia on the eastern Mediterranean Sea. It was established in 1948 following the British withdrawal from Palestine, which had been divided by recommendation of the United Nations into Jewish and Arab states. Discord with neighboring Arab countries that had rejected the UN partition led to numerous wars, notably in 1948–1949, 1956–1957, 1967, and 1973. In the Six-Day War of 1967 Israel occupied the Gaza Strip, the West Bank, Jerusalem's Old City, the Golan Heights, and the Sinai Peninsula. The Golan Heights and Jerusalem were later annexed, and the Sinai was returned to Egypt in 1982. A 1993 Israeli-Palestinian accord granted limited Palestinian autonomy in the Gaza Strip, and a similar accord calling for Palestinian self-rule in the West Bank was signed in 1994. Jerusalem is the capital and Tel Aviv–Yafo the largest city. Population: 6,430,000.

The Israeli–Palestinian conflict is an ongoing dispute between Israel and the Palestinians.[1] It forms part of the wider Arab–Israeli conflict. Many attempts have been made to broker a two-state solution, which would entail the creation of an independent Palestinian state alongside Israel. At present, a considerable majority of both Israelis and Palestinians, according to a number of polls, prefer the two-state solution over any other solution as a means of resolving the conflict.[2][3] Most Palestinians view the West Bank and Gaza Strip as constituting the area of their future state, which is a view also accepted by most Israelis.[4] A handful of academics advocate a one-state solution, whereby all of Israel, the Gaza Strip, and West Bank would become a bi-national state with equal rights for all.[5][6] However, there are significant areas of disagreement over the shape of any final agreement and also regarding the level of credibility each side sees in the other in upholding basic commitments.[7]

There are various large and international actors involved in the conflict. The direct negotiating parties are the Israeli government, currently led by Ehud Olmert, and the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO), currently headed by Mahmoud Abbas. The official negotiations are mediated by an international contingent known as the Quartet on the Middle East (the Quartet) represented by a special envoy that consists of the United States, Russia, the European Union, and the United Nations. The Arab League is another important actor, which has proposed an alternative peace plan. Egypt, a founding member of the Arab League, has historically been a key participant.

Since 2003, the Palestinian side has been fractured by conflict between the two major factions: Fatah, the largest party, and Hamas. As a result, the territory controlled by the Palestinian National Authority (the Palestinian interim government) is split between Fatah in the West Bank, and Hamas in the Gaza strip. This has proved problematic as Hamas is considered a terrorist organization by Israel and many other countries[8] which means that despite the fact it won the Palestinian elections of 2006, it has not been allowed to participate in official negotiations.

The most recent round of peace negotiations began at Annapolis, Maryland, United States, in November 2007. These talks aimed to have a final resolution by the end of 2008.[9] The parties agree there are six core, or 'final status,' issues which need to be resolved:[10] Jerusalem, refugees, settlements, security, borders and water. These issues are discussed at length below.

Within Israeli and Palestinian society, the conflict generates a wide variety of views and opinions (see also Israeli and Palestinian views of the peace process). This serves to highlight the deep divisions which exist not only between Israelis and Palestinians, but also amongst themselves.

A hallmark of the conflict has been the level of violence witnessed for virtually its entire duration. Fighting has been conducted by regular armies, paramilitary groups, and terror cells. Casualties have not been restricted to the military, with a large loss of civilian life on both sides.

GAME

Now.. game is like an impotant think,, everybody need to playing game,,
online games.. or the other.. for example like DOTA,..
the newest game is The Sims, Farcry, Need for Speed Undercover, Call Of Duty5 or pes 2009...

>> Resident Evil : With Resident Evil 5 approaching its March 13 release, Capcom teased a little more of the game in its CES suite with a brief playable demo set in a previously unseen locale. The new section focused on main characters Chris Redfield and Sheva Alomar making their way upriver by boat. Although the notion of a boat trip with a lady friend might sound like a fairly mellow experience, this is Resident Evil we're talking about. So, Chris' "quality time" with Sheva featured explosions, dozens of murderous infected, and flying enemies eager to rip off Chris' head. The short demo pleased the masochist in us with its relentless enemies and left us hungry to tear into more of the game.

>> Street Fighter 4 : The version of the game we played was running on the Xbox 360, which is where we spent the bulk of our playtime. We hopped into the arcade mode to start trying the new faces and got to watch the anime intros for each of the characters. The sequences are of modest length and offer some context as to why each particular fighter is getting involved. Most of the videos stay true to the known lore of the fighters' motivations, and even Dan Hibiki's hilarious intro is accurate for the lovable loser.

Modem

Now, everybody want to use modem, that need external modem is very important.. and that mean everybody need to use internet anytime and anywhere... there are many ways and many type of modem we can use.. for example like sieera or huawei and many others...
Used that modem gives us many comfortable,,
how to use modems?
n order to create faster modems, modem designers had to use techniques far more sophisticated than frequency-shift keying. First they moved to phase-shift keying (PSK), and then quadrature amplitude modulation (QAM). These techniques allow an incredible amount of information to be crammed into the 3,000 hertz of bandwidth available on a normal voice-grade phone line. 56K modems, which actually connect at something like 48 Kbps on anything but absolutely perfect lines, are about the limit of these techniques (see the links at the end of this article for more information).
